Kidventure takes pride in ensuring all our staff feels prepared and ready to knock camp out of the park. Trainings are a HUGE component of our staff’s preparation and success at camp. It is what affords us the ability to function so well as a team and walk into the summer prepared. Not so much prepared for you, but prepared for the campers that are waiting to meet you.
We strongly advise all staff to check this page regularly to stay updated on training dates and information. All of the following trainings are mandatory, but some components have several options. Please read closely and complete the relevant training within each training component that corresponds to you!
Every team member must be First Aid and CPR certified through August 2nd, 2024. If you are not currently certified through August 2nd, 2024, we ask that you complete the certification with Kidventure. If you are already certified in First Aid/CPR/AED and will be current through August 2nd, 2024, your certifications must be uploaded to Paycom before May 31st, 2024.
Details
The cost for the training course will be $30 (Zelle is preferred, Venmo, cash, or check made out to Kidventure upon request). No payment is to be made to Pro First Aid directly.

Kidventure Staff must complete a sexual abuse prevention course before camp. We have two options and multiple dates you can choose from. IMPORTANT: Specific sites must take specific training. The two courses are Safe Haven OR Safeguarding. This course MUST be taken every two years. This year all sites EXCEPT for Ascension, Holy Spirit, and Nottingham will complete Safe Haven. Ascension, Holy Spirit, and Nottingham will complete Safeguarding. Please confirm with Camden(camden@kidventure.com) if you are unsure which class to take.
This MUST be completed before the start of your camp location. If you cannot complete this course by the deadline your position with Kidventure will be rescinded. Each course has TWO PARTS, an online portion, and an in-person portion. The online portion must be completed before showing up to the in-person portion. The class is not complete until both elements are completed.
Safe Haven is the Catholic Archdiocesan Sexual Abuse Prevention Course. The course is FREE

Safeguarding is the Episcopal Sexual Abuse Prevention Course. The course is FREE
Step 1: Follow the first link to REQUEST the course. After this, you will receive an email from usher@epicenter.org, The Episcopal Diocese giving you directions to complete the modules for the course. Please only complete the modules the email instructs you to complete.

Each individual campsite meets on the Saturday or Sunday before the first Monday of camp. This is our time to set up for camp, decorate, go through our site procedures, and familiarize all staff with your specific campsite. See times and days below. We will be painting decorations and doing lots of different things, come casual and ready to jump in!
